Woodbury, MN: The Andermax Foundation announced today the launch of a new featured fund within its Medical Advancement area of giving: The Fightin' Bob Fund. Named after the organization's inspiration and founder's late husband, Bob Pavlicin, who died of colon cancer at age 38, The Fightin' Bob Fund supports research to advance cancer diagnostics and find a cure for cancer of all types.
While early detection and better treatments have contributed to a recent slight decline in cancer mortality rates, the deadly illness still claims one in every four deaths.
The Andermax Foundation accepts applications for cancer research grants. Visit the grant seekers page for more information and application forms. Donations are accepted online and by mail to The Andermax Foundation, PO Box 25012, Woodbury MN 55125. Please indicate if you would like to designate The Fightin' Bob Fund or make a general donation.
